My suggestion is a plugin that can be enabled in vsh, game, game150, and pops. It will auto-connect when you start either one of those and you can answer calls when you hear a ringing noise. For example, while your playing a game, you hear a ringing noise. You can hold L + R + Vol + and it will answer. It will mute the game music and you will hear the person your talking to. You can still play while your talking to the person. To hang up, just hold L + R + Vol -. You can hold L + R + Select to go to a gui where you can send a call to your contacts and hold L + R + Select to get out of the gui while talking to the person who you called.

My only issue with this is that I would want to be able to configure the keys since I tend to prefer my own custom combinations over others.

I was originally working on doing it via VSH, however the problem is when doing it via game, vsh etc is that it leads to only being able to do it on the PSP Slim due to the memory requirements.

seems to not like secured networks, anyhope of getting this fixed, maybe with the network selection list for the system would be nice. I did try opening all my router ports, and checking my config file, it just doesn't like my secured network.  it also seems to freeze on exit on my fat on the psp Please wait... screen.  anyway this could be done webportal wise, maybe to help with recources, I know that there are SIP widgets, and various web based versions, would that help the recources, or make them worse? if it went through web portal, maybe people could open there network connection when opening the portal, and that might resolve the secure network problems, just some thoughts, not a programmer, just html (not good enough for psp, but hey you have to start somewhere)

*edit* i guess the problem was in the system, reflashed and it works, any idea why?

I'm guessing thats why sony is making the phone for PSP slim only. Can't it use memory from the memory stick or something? I know it will lag but it will work, right?

No it can't, the PSP does not have a memory management unit, hence can not use virtual memory, and the MS would be way too slow even if it could.
