My laptop is connected by wifi. There is no firewall on the laptop nor on the wifi router.
I am able to receive calls on my laptop so i would presume the necessary ports are open, no?

Maybe. But I see the FWD Communicator using both the STUN server for NAT Traversal, and a SIP Proxy. So, maybe the ports  don't need to be open for that software to work. But, since that works let's concentrate on the PSP now.

Calling from the PSP to the laptop also works. I must be registered to FWD at that moment, otherwise i wouldn't be able to make the call from my PSP to my laptop, right?
I tried and tried but i can't seem to get incoming calls on the PSP.
Weird...

Right, the PC is registered but the PSP is not. That's why you can make calls using the PSP to the PC but the reverse is not working.

Quote from: cenobyte
Will try to forward the ports to the PSP as you suggested.

Ok.

Quote from: cenobyte
Stupid question probably... How can i check the ip address my PSP is using?

In the PSP's "Network Settings" or your wifi router's DCHP "configuration page".

Oh and by the way, dunno if this info is helpful :
psp type 2000 (slim)
CF 3.71 m33-4

The more information the better.

Anyway, my PSP is the only VoIP device on my network.
Exit the FWD Communicator and try the "Call Me" feature after you open and forward the ports to the PSP.

Reset your PSP to factory defaults, then re-set up you internet connection. BTW - It only uses (at the moment) the top internet connection in your list. Personally I just re-scan and modify that connection when I'm in a new place as opposed to resetting my PSP every time and it has worked for me. I can even have my PS3 connection below it and it doesn't screw it up.

Also at the moment the config is very sensitive to following spaces.
A friend of mine hung at the same point then he copy pasted my config in his file,
changed the relevant parts andafterward it connected...

Hey All found a GREAT free SIP provider ... that allows FREE calls from your PC / PSP to land lines!!  Wahoo!!  In reading the "fine print" it will give you 300 minutes:
_________
     * Max 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days and per unique IP address. Unused free minutes cannot be taken to the following week(s). If limit is exceeded the normal rates apply. With your FREE DAYS you can call for free to all the destinations listed as free! when you have no FREE DAYS left the normal rates apply. You can get extra Freedays by buying credit
_______

site is http://www.voipcheap.com

sipcfg.ini files layout is like this:

server=sip.VoipCheap.com
username=xxxxxx
password=xxxxxx
stunserver=stun.voipbuster.com
stunport=3478
input=file

contacts file is like this:
House,sip:1"area code""phonenumber"@sip.VoipCheap.com,mr,man

no quotes and no spaces in the phone number it should be something like this 18885551212  at least for calls in the US not sure about outside of the US

PSP is Custom FW 3.71 M33-2
Kernel set to 3.71
App placed in GAME folder

WILL ALSO WORK if:
Kernel set to 1.50
App placed in GAME371 folder

I hope this helps you all!  So far it's the only one I found that gives true free calls to landlines!!  And I've been looking since this was released last night! :-)

Oh yeah ... also if your press your "select" button on your PSP you will get "detailed" info when you place a call

I used dartans guide

Hi to all, it's my first post

I'm trying to use Furikup with my psp and an italian provider that allowe me to use 1 provider (voipwise.com) to make free calls to landsline (also mobile in USA) and 1 provider (messagenet) for the incoming calls from landsline/mobile phones.

Here's my configuration:

server=sip.liberailvoip.it

username=502xxxx
password=xxxx

stunserver=stun.voipbuster.com

stunport=3478

input=file

PSP 1004
Custom Firmware 390 M33-2

Everytime there is the same problem:

server:Connecting
Call:None

->Initializing camer... (please ensure it is plugged in)
->processed addres book : 3 contacts
-> Starting up...
-> Registering with server...

and the psp it seems to freeze.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Hi all,

I tried the program with the CF 380-M33 and now it shows:

Server: Connected
Call: None

Sip test
nickname
landline

Ready

But if I try to call my number, there is the answering machine told me I'm not connected.

It's because I don't have mic and headset?

Please answer me........thanks in advance.

Best regards

EDIT: I can call from my voipwise account, but I can't receive calls from my messagenet account. Probably cause messagenet uses port 5061 and voipwise uses port 5060?

@ bstar4

A bit of reading does no harm. There you have the reason why it´s not working.

VOIPSERVER:
I succesfully made a phonecall using VoipCheap settings which Dartan posted earlier.
Managed to call my housephone and heard the .wav message.

FREEZEPROBLEM:
Psp info: Firmware m33-update 4 ; FAT model;
Experienced the 'freezeproblem', screen holding at connecting / registering with server, just like a few others had as well.
Solved it: my connection showed as second on the network connection list. I restored my psp settings (system settings) to default, letting me to add a new connection for the first time when starting up Furikup. After that, I had no problems anymore and connected pretty quickly.

Ps: I can't quit the program normally, have to remove my battery.
