My laptop is connected by wifi. There is no firewall on the laptop nor on the wifi router.
I am able to receive calls on my laptop so i would presume the necessary ports are open, no?
Maybe. But I see the FWD Communicator using both the STUN server for NAT Traversal, and a SIP Proxy. So, maybe the ports don't need to be open for that software to work. But, since that works let's concentrate on the PSP now.
Calling from the PSP to the laptop also works. I must be registered to FWD at that moment, otherwise i wouldn't be able to make the call from my PSP to my laptop, right?
I tried and tried but i can't seem to get incoming calls on the PSP.
Weird...
Right, the PC is registered but the PSP is not. That's why you can make calls using the PSP to the PC but the reverse is not working.
Will try to forward the ports to the PSP as you suggested.
Ok.
Stupid question probably... How can i check the ip address my PSP is using?
In the PSP's "Network Settings" or your wifi router's DCHP "configuration page".
Oh and by the way, dunno if this info is helpful :
psp type 2000 (slim)
CF 3.71 m33-4
The more information the better.
Anyway, my PSP is the only VoIP device on my network.
Exit the FWD Communicator and try the "Call Me" feature after you open and forward the ports to the PSP.
