We tested this today at SuperNetTel.com with our servers and the results were good, although we had no microphone for the PSP so we used a WAV file. Only problem is the WAV file seemed to play at about 3 times speed.

The quality of the received voice was OK.

Hi everybody,
I tried Voipstunt.com, another SIP provider that gives you 300 minutes to landline calls fot 0,05€ for a call.

My sipcfg.ini file layout is like this:

server=sip.VoipStunt.com
username=xxxxxx
password=xxxxxx
stunserver=stun.VoipStunt.com
stunport=3478
input=usbcam

I put in the contact file this line:

landline,sip:10039xxxxxxxxxxx@sip.Voipstunt.com,name,mr

and I tried the landline option call.

It's perfect sound on the psp, but my home telephone doesn't ring.

What's wrong with what I have done?

I would guess that they "could " bill you ... but I set up my account without and payment info :-)

So I would assume that if you haven't set-up and form of payment with them then it would just stop working until the week is up

Hi all,

I'm trying to setup Furikup with asterisk. It's registering properly and I'm able to make, and receive calls, but no sound is coming out of the PSP speakers. The only thing I listen it's when receiving a call the "ring" tone, but once I answer that call: nothing.

Maybee it has somethinng to do with the sound codecs? I'm allowing all codecs in my asterisk setup, but anyway, wich one are you guys using?

Regards,

Hey All found a GREAT free SIP provider ... that allows FREE calls from your PC / PSP to land lines!!  Wahoo!!  In reading the "fine print" it will give you 300 minutes:
_________
     * Max 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days and per unique IP address. Unused free minutes cannot be taken to the following week(s). If limit is exceeded the normal rates apply. With your FREE DAYS you can call for free to all the destinations listed as free! when you have no FREE DAYS left the normal rates apply. You can get extra Freedays by buying credit
_______

site is http://www.voipcheap.com

sipcfg.ini files layout is like this:

server=sip.VoipCheap.com
username=xxxxxx
password=xxxxxx
stunserver=stun.voipbuster.com
stunport=3478
input=file

contacts file is like this:
House,sip:1"area code""phonenumber"@sip.VoipCheap.com,mr,man

no quotes and no spaces in the phone number it should be something like this 18885551212  at least for calls in the US not sure about outside of the US

PSP is Custom FW 3.71 M33-2
Kernel set to 3.71
App placed in GAME folder

WILL ALSO WORK if:
Kernel set to 1.50
App placed in GAME371 folder

I hope this helps you all!  So far it's the only one I found that gives true free calls to landlines!!  And I've been looking since this was released last night! :-)

Oh yeah ... also if your press your "select" button on your PSP you will get "detailed" info when you place a call

How do I get the SIP number so people can add me to the contact list? Also it get stuck at registering with server. I did your config and changed the stun server also to stun.VoipCheap.com

The info to put into your contact to call a user of VoipCheap is as follows:

Dartan-psp,sip:dartan30p@sip.VoipCheap.com,mr,man

the first part "Dartan-psp" is the name that will show in your cantact list so make it what you will reconize as the person you are calling

I have to correct you on the readme file included with this great program  Wink
VoipBuster does work  Cool Just tested it, calling, hearing and talking all work, not a perfect clear line but it worked. I used the Talkman mic.

edit2: Fanjita you can edit the first post and remove the line about voipbuster
When we tested it we found that calls to and from PC clients would not work, but that was on early builds. Have you been able to call to/from the PSP to a telephone and a PC, or just to a PC. Unless it works to/from a PC client and telephone then I think it is better leaving it as incompatable.

cswindle

I called from my psp to a phone, to be more specific a called my own number, someone else took the phone and we could talk to each other. Btw. i live in Europe.
I have voipbuster installed on my pc, and i also use it as a sip client on my mobile phone but that was before the release of the PSP phone program.
I haven't called yet from a psp to another psp or from/to my pc using my psp cause i actually don't know (yet) how to do that  Huh

I have successfully made a call using CFW 3.52-3 on Voipdiscount.com. CFW 3.52-2 does not work although it appears to register successfully but is unable to make any calls. Application was installed in \PSP\GAME\Furikup

The VoipDiscount settings are:
server=sip.voipdiscount.com
username=xxxxxxx
password=xxxxxxx
stunserver=stun.voipdiscount.com
stunport=3478

The contact settings (for calls to NZ) are:
Bob,sip:00649xxxxxxx@sip.voipdiscount.com,Bob,Jones

Note that voipdiscount uses sip.voipdiscount.com which threw me at first.

Excellent piece of software Noobz! I have been waiting for someone to release this. Now my PSP is complete (eBook, nebnam -RSS reader, PSPTube, PSPRadio, PSPposte, PSPwrite, mapviewer) when I travel overseas!

having a problem on a phat psp running 3.71 m33-4

->attempting to connect to network
-> sceNetApctlConnect returns 80110601
->Initializing camer... (please ensure it is plugged in)
->processed addres book : 5 contacts
-> Starting up...
-> Registering with server
server:Connecting
Call:None
I'm wondering about the 80110601
It seems like the WAN switch isn't flashing, I don't think it's trying to connect
also sometimes freezes when exiting on the Please wait...

I flashed and it fixed it, now I'm having a problem with a very loud pop in the line

For all of you getting the next error message "sceNetApctlConnect returns 80110601" when loading the SIP phone:

1. Reset the System to default settings. Alternatively you can just delete ALL your existing Network Connections manually.
2. Configure a new WiFi Network Connection (Infraestructure mode) again from scratch. Once you finish, this should be the only Network Connection in your PSP settings.
3. Try running Furikup SIP phone now. It should connect now using the Network Connection just created.
4. Once you verified it worked you can create some more Network Connections if you want. Furikup will always use the Network Connection set the first time.

Hopefully future versions of Furikup will allow for a manual selection of the Network Connection to use with.
