Hello everybody!

You may have seen the new Unofficial piKey 0.4 post if not, then go and look...

http://forums.noobz.eu/pi...suggestions/new-project/0

We have an issue, but we would like your guys opinions before we go ahead:

In case you guys haven't noticed, but piKey can act a bit funny when it comes to the web browser. Sometimes you require to press the 'select' key on your PSP a few times to ensure that the correct letters show. It works fine when typing a URL, but can act very funny when in a text box.

Would you guys rather...

Have Unofficial piKey 0.4 work better in:

URL Boxes (When typing a web address)

OR

Text Boxes (Used in Google and eBuddy)

Personally, I feel that you would only use a text box once, although eBuddy, you will use loads of times. Not to mention that Unofficial piKey 0.4 is going to come with our version of an eBuddy portal and pressing
select every time you want to chat can get VERY annoying trust me  Wink

Post your opinions please on this post, or email me at:

unofficial.pikey.support@hotmail.co.uk

If we don't recieve enough comments, we are going to go ahead with the text box idea, whih requires you to press 'select' once when typing a URL.

Thanks guys

Angelo

Well, i personally think that it would be best to go with text box because you only type a URL every once in a while when you change the website, and, say we are on these forums on my psp, then if i wanted to change something like type

www.blabla.com

i would have to deal with switching

I´d go for the same (PiKey fixed for Text Boxes, and then Select to change whenever is necessary), but I would consider implementing the feature through the Pikey Config file so the every user could decide for himself his favourite optionat any time.

That way everybody could have any of the choices available.

/me does not have an IR keyboard but:
URL's you enter once and then you surf the page.

While when i enter Text, for example an email or forum post i cant bear checking and
rechecking if the psp is in the right mood to take my input ^^

Oh, and in a poll if you dont want strange results dont give away your own opinion Wink

Great idea Wakaru, I thinks that's what i'll do... That way it'll be better... PLUS, the system varies also with the region/language, so it's better to have it in piKeyConfig.txt than bulit into the application.

O.K guys, I thinks that's all the votes I need really!

Thanks for supporting my project guys!!!
