Hello again...

Another one of the reasons why we've made a "Pre Release" first is to clear up any bugs you guys may have spotted! Personaly, I spent ages looking for bugs, but I was running a Targus on 3.52 M33 - 4 and there may be issues on other firmwares or keyboard types.

Another reason is to add suggestions people can give us. Small ones, like:

"change this in the documents..."

or

"here... let me send you a keymap of my IR keyboard, can you add it to the "Keymap" folder please?"

However, don't go over the top, we won't act on things like:

Make it work in PSX games. - Because it means tampering with the POPS emulator.
Make a mouse. - Do it yourself.
Make my IR keyboard fly. - Just chuck it...  Undecided
Add my IR keyboard please. - Takes too long, maybe some other time...  Undecided

Small things that can me fixed within a matter of minutes...

This because we want to make Unofficial piKey 0.4 perfect for you guys so when the proper version comes (with support for the latest CFW), it'll be bug free!  Wink

Feel free to add coments!

Hmmm,

ok two bugs which i found at the last two days.

If i play music or something else, the display doesn't go to black screen although i set up that the screen is go into the black screen after 2 minutes. It was a bug from pikey 0.3 and in Upikey 0.4 it is going on.

And the enter button doesn't works with my keyboard. In pikey 0.3 it works.

My hardware is a hama keyboard....

well since I don't want to bother downgrading once more, here's a question that I noticed in the VNC client by Zx-18, the space bar button on the right side does not act as a space
the windows key acts like a "/"
when I push Alt+1, it gives ~

I don't know if these things are fixed, but I would like to know if they are.
That's just off the top of my head so I might edit in or post more

Thanks Florian!

-  As for the "Enter" key not working, I might need your help (as I don't have a Hama) and try and we will fix the problem together. It's a simple fix. I'll email you soon... Wink

-  As for the PSP not entering "Sleep" mode, that can not be fixed.  Undecided   The reason for this is because the PSP is always waiting for an IR signal and doesn't enter sleep mode.

From my experience, I think you have a Targus keyboard. Am I right?

The issue there is a keymap issue. ZX-81 uses an old version of the PSPIRKeyB. The PSPIRkeyB Lib is the PSP Infa Red Keyboard Library. The reason why he doesn't update his version is because it causes problems for him. We added a feature in the PSPIRKeyB Lib so that when you hold a key, it repeats itself (a bit like a PC), but that isn't good in his emulators as it causes jerky controls. Sad

I'm working on a Tutorial (which'll be bundled with the next version of "Unofficial piKey") to show users how to link their ZX-81 IR application settings with piKey. This means that whenever piKey updates, so will ZX-81's applications. The method I will include will not have any drawbacks with jerky controls.

Thanks guys!

Keep them coming in!
