Hey guys...

With Fanjita's permission, I’ve teamed up with a group of people to start a new project. It's gonna be called 'Unofficial piKey 0.4!'

We've done the following so far:

- Fixed the 'x' button issue, not 'x' shows as the correct one, not the multiplication one.

- Added new, improved and cleaner keymaps (added Targus and Palm) and have created our own custom Targus   CTRLMap.txt

- Found and created a small portal for the release. (Existing PSP Windows Portal and a created EBuddy one)

- Made the installer better and cleaner.

- Better documents and CTRLMap.txt, piKeyConfig.txt and PSPIRKeyB.ini have been layed out so they are easier to   read, edit and more pleasing to the eye.

- Added 100% working Targus, Palm and Hama maps!

- Made a Targus expansion pack with a working Keymap and user friendly CTRLMap.

- Added key repeats so you can hold down a key and it'll autotype instead of tapping it many times.

- Added a function so a message is displayed when CAPS/Num/Scroll/ is on.

- Added the Sprint PDA keyboard.

- Fixed the Targus, Palm and Hama drivers.

- Built on the latest PSPIRKeyB lib.

- Add a function so you don't have to press the 'select' key to have to correct character input. This will make the realese perfect.

What we are working on:

- Finally... make it compatible with 3.71 M33

Thanks

Angelo (Behind he scenes admin work and project leader.)
Joseph (Main C coder.)
Hells Plumber (General handy man.)

Stickied? I don't understand what you mean by that.. but unfortunatly we only need coders... Sorry  Sad

On the other hand, when it's all done, we need testers! Your the first in my list! Hows that?

@ Angelo

Cleanser23 means that this topic should be fixed to appear among the first of this board, so everybody can notice it.

By the way, it´s been made sticky Wink

In the other hand, I do not really think this is the best forum to get coders.... perhaps you should try more specific forums for PSP Devs.

I have Wakaru, but no body really HAS piKey. So I figured to put it on this official forum instead.

Also, I'm not really looking for coders, well, I guess I am, but I just wanted to get people noticed and maybe people could email me with their own ideas/codes/maps/drivers.

That's all, but any help is appreciated!  Grin

Email me guys at:

unofficial.pikey.support@hotmail.co.uk

For help, advise or... if you just wonna help!  Grin

Ok, one thing that makes me upset is this thread has 350 views and NO ONE is saying anything!!!

Guys if you cant volunteer, at least post like YEA, or something or refer us to some other forum to post this on, or someone you know that might be able to help!!!

I stick to what I said before.... these forums are mainly to provide support to Noobz downgraders and utilities, that means they´re intended for regular PSP users. Perhaps there are not many coders reading these forums and (Surely) you are targetting the wrong forums.... you should try places like PS2Dev forums for instance.

I second that Smiley
Most Developers already have their PSP's customized so they wont look too often on the Noobz forum.
Dont let it bring you down if you dont find so many people here.
After all you want to be the Glue of your team, dont you?

So, chin up. You can motivate them!

More than just looking into recruiting people, I think you should ask for advice on how to learn doing it by yourselves if you want people to take you seriously.

Hello, there!

I don't really know, but it may be interesting, if one could connect something via USB ...
surely, keyboard(s), but with hubs there's a broad band of possibilities (hard disk, mouse, ...)

I only thought, since the serial port is 'useAble', it could be nice ... Cheesy

@aut0mat1x
The sad thing about the USB port of the PSP is that it is not usable.
You need special devices to connect them via USB and there is no HUB,
no Keybpard, no Pointingdevice fit for this.

PiKey is all about the IR port so its strict Slim only Wink

//edit: reading the readme of 0.3 reveald me that in its current state it can take input via the headphone jack
