Noob to Psp, quick Q

Ok, we're not allowed to talk about iso, OK.

But I have a question - game discs contain firmware updates.

Are they installed automatically? Or do you get asked?

If I run a game disc, (or an ***), in my CFW psp (500 m33-6), will if auto-overwrite the CFW with the latest on the disc?

(See, not really an *** question..)

Edit #2 - don't worry - I open the iso in UMDGen_v4.00 and remove the update fodler, then save it to a new iso and it all works fine.

Edit, not so quick now..

Out of 500 m33-6 and 550genD, which is better? What are the pros and cons of each version?

I know, it's a noob question - I just bought a 1002 psp from EBay, had it a week. It came with m33-4, I upped that to m33-6.
