Hey everyone, I've had my PSP for quite a few years now and I'm interested in downgrading it, but after hours of searching I'm not sure I can. I have a fat Japanese PSP with official 2.80 firmware and can't find anything saying how to downgrade it. Any help is appreciated. I really don't wanna end up having to buy a new(EU/US) fat PSP. :l

well I think there is a generic downgrader for less than 3.0
but you still can
It doesn't matter what version it is, It is still the same hardware. you might be able to find a local person with a pandora battery and a magic mem stick to help you.
you don't have to use pandora battery if you go ahead and buy a lumines UMD from the store and put the files on there for the downgrader on that Cheesy (which is what I did my first time)

Well I tried quite a few downgraders including the one on here(think I got a bit confused with this one), but only ended up bricking my PSP about 3 times, which I have no idea how but I managed to get out of. I do have a pandora battery which I believe works and I have a 512MB mem stick..
I keep getting the same problem every time, corrupted data and "The game cannot be run" or whatever it says, something about it not being able to run. I checked the folder names over and over but I still get the corrupted data..

If, as you say, you have a working Pandora Battery and a stick set.... Why on earth would you have to use any of the downgraders?

Two rules,

1st - Do some research.
2nd - Then ask.

It is quite clearly that you do not have a clue of what you´re talking about, and I refer to your previous post:

Anyway, as I said, do some research, find out what you´re doing and once you know, then ask. Nobody will be able to help you unless you know what you´re talking about.

Like this?
Because I've followed several tutorials identical to this and I just get Corrupt Data all the time.. the few times I didn't I'd get "The game could not be started" thing.

@ Fibbs

Yes, but what about checking if you meet the requirements to create Pandora´s Battery:

Read our tutorial to create a Pandora Battery Set, and try to check the requirements. You´ll soon realise why it won´t work.

Why don't you follow the instructions then and do all the process in your friend's PSP?

If you'd read the guide you'd realised that the battery/stick creation requires a PSP with CFW or OFW 1.50.  You cannot make it on a OFW 2.80 and that is the reason qhy you can only get corrupt data and error messages.

Oh right now that's my problem. Damn. I don't have any friends with CFW PSPs, so I guess I'm stuck then, eh? Undecided

No, tha´s not your only problem. You are also a complete liar. It cost nothing to be frank and honest to start with, and there´s no need to lie whatsoever in order to get help out of these forums.

As a matter of fact you will NOT get any more help off me. Thanks for wasting my time and everyone elses in the forums.
