Hey all,

First off i want to say that PiKey is such a great idea and thanks for putting all your time into it and i cant wait to get it going!

that said.

I installed it (properly?) with out game mode because it kept having an error every time i tried. So then i activated the plug ins in recovery mode. Then..... Success!!!!!!    WAIT NOPE.

My keyboard is working... but all the keys are not giving the command they are supposed to. Ok so i go to config and switch from '15' (Targus) to '20' (Palm) and now the keyboard produces no response.

When i switch back to 15 it responds. But only the Up arrow key actually does what it is supposed to.

Why when does it not respond at all when i switch to 20? But it responds when its on 15? Its a palm keyboad after all so shouldnt it work?

Is there something else in the config i am supposed to edit? I feel like i am so close and im just forgetting one thing!!

Can anyone help?

What model is it please? I may be able to help.  Smiley

If it doesn't work with piKey 0.3, it may work with my 'Unofficial piKey 0.4' that is still under developement.

Model Number: P10946U  Its the 4 row one.

the top row is qwerty with the Fn key function making numbers. Hope that is clear! I would really like to get this set up.

Hmm... may be a driver issue. That means that your keyboard isn't supported yet. Try it when "Unofficial piKey 0.4" comes out some time soon.

That's very odd.

Sorry I could be better help!  Undecided

Well isnt it weird that it semi runs on the Targus setting? It seems like all i have to do is just edit the key document for the targus and rewrite it for the palm. Would this be something i would be able to do with whats included in the Pikey download?

Thanks for the help.

Could someone that uses a Palm keyboard give me instructions on how you got it to work?

It's probably because a driver hasn't been written for it yet and it's only be semi understood. Sorry, unless you code, it'll be unlikely that your keyboard will be usable for piKey.

Try some other bands such as Targus. They're cheap, portable, popular and I think... works the best!!!

Why don't you create a driver? You could start off my finding out the scan codes for every key!

It takes AGES trust me, but then at least we can make it work if there is gonna be a next release of Unofficial piKey!

I would love to write a driver for PiKey. But i dont have much of a clue where to start, let alone where to find scan codes.

I havent done anything with programing since when i used to edit open source battle.net bots with BASIC a few years ago.

Hmm...

After Unofficial piKey 0.4 is released, we have a few main goals to keep it going:

-  Just add and improve it.
-  Fix any bugs we've missed (although unlikely!  Wink)
-  Add drivers!

After it's done, the team will help people make drivers so we can expand the PSP IR keyboard libray and improve piKey!
