piKey Game Capability List:

piKey can be used to play UMD's on your PSP, however, some fail to run when piKey is enabled.

Please note that the "On Screen Messages" do make a difference whether the games work or not. All the games that work below have been tested with the "On Screen Messages" feature off. This option can be altered in the "piKeyConfig.txt" file. It has been set to off by default.

Here is my growing list so far as to what games work / do not work. We will add more as time goes by:

Work:

-  Need For Speed Carbon
-  Match
-  Pilot Academy
-  Burnout Legends
-  Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron
-  Worms Open Warfare 2
-  Ridge Racer
-  Gran Theft Auto Liberty City Stories
-  Gran Theft Auto Vice City Stories
-  Fifa 08
-  Metal Gear Solid Portable Opps
-  Star Wars Battlefront 2
-  SSX On Tour
-  Call Of Duty - Roads To Victory
-  Reel Fishing
-  Pursuit Force
-  WipEout Pulse

Do not work well:

-  Lara Croft Tomb Raider - Legends - Very jerky at times.

Do not work:

-  Burnout Dominator
-  Tony Hawks Project 8
-  Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

Feel free to add some to the list guys by notifying me!

I tested "Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron" today briefly with piKey + my Palm Uni. and it appeared to work fine.

Thanks Mov!

Any others people? I'll be happy to add them to the list!

Also, my friends have been very kind to me. As a thanks to me for downgrading their PSP's, they have given all of their games for be to borrow to see if piKey works with them.

Slowly, I'll be adding to the list!

Thank you guys!

Yes... that was a bit of a shame. The list will soon grow. I haven't had time to test yet...  Undecided

Edit: It works now!

Thanks Florian!

Today I'll be adding more to the list. My friend let me borrow most of his UMD's! He can't stop playing with Crash Bandicoot on PSX!

Please keep the reports in guys.

I just noticed you say piKey can work with standard PSP games.

What about PSP DOSBox or PSP bochs?

Not in the way you think. piKey can only emulate typing when in the OSK (On Screen Keyboard) in the web browser and when in the XMB and emulate PSP buttons being pressed.

However, some developers such as ZX-81, add IR support into their apps so typing is possible. A good example is PSPWrite.

In short, unless the homebrew app is designed for IR keyboard support, or has a Danzeff option, you can't type. You can however emulate PSP button controls.

Have I confused you yet?
