hi, i tried installing pikey after i bought micro innovations ir keyboard for 2 dollars from surplus computer, but i still can't get it to work! this is what i did

1) download the first version of pikey
2) copy ms_root content to root of my psp
3) go to my psp and run pikey installer
3) i let it write some files into flash0
4) went to recovery mode, plugin, then enabled the pikeyrx i believe for gaming and vhx
5) i changed the pspirkeyb.ini number to #12 (for micro innovations)
6) restarted my psp hoping it'd work ... but it didn't

a couple thoughts ran into my heads. first, do i need a keymap made for micro innovations? or should it be fine if i just used the qwerty keymap? also, is there a way to turn off and on the keyboard? well it doesn't seem to have an on and off button, and the battery is inside, so i assume that it would be automatically on

please help, i'd like this to work =) thank you

p.s. by the way, i'm running 3.40 oe-A ... is the first version of pikey not compatible with this os? just a couple thoughts

Normally you would use the latest version available.

Try using the version 0.3 of PiKey which is compatible with 3.40 OE-A.

Do not forget to activate the Pikey plugin from the Recovery Menu!

If it still not working, it will probably need a keymap file.

Hve you checked that your IR kyboard has betteries. That maybe the reason why it was so cheap. Two flat 2mm by 16mm circle batteries will set you back around £8 ($16). Also, kae sure the IR ports are lined up  Wink
