A new Custom Firmware has just come out. As Dark_Alex left the scene a few weeks ago, this new CF is coming from a russian team which like to call themselves M33 Team.

Summary of features offered by CFW v3.51 M33

- All functions of v3.51 firmware retained - PS1 support, high video resolution, MP3 visualizer, internet navigation, PS3 connection etc
- Launch official UMDS which require v3.51 firmware
- Direct launching of ISOs/CSOs
- Direct launching of homebrews and demonstrations
- Direct launching of PS1 images
- Ability to alter the CPU speed of the PSP
- Recovery mode
- Multi-region
- Bugfixes
- Customize all your icons etc

As you can see it´s pretty much the same as the OE firmwares but with the addition of the 3.51 functions. Also the installations seem to be pretty much similar.

Since it´s just been out a few hours ago and I am never too desperate to be the first one trying things out, I cannot confirm yet if piKey compatibility is still maintained.

If anybody feels like trying before I do, please share the results with us. Wink

Just a quick question.  Does anyone know if pikey works under CFW 3.51 M33?

I am really tempted to upgrade but I don't want to mess up my pikey because i like using AFKIM with my IR keyboard.

I've already test it and it works quite well on the vsh and games but I've detected problems with 1.50 homebrews (FileAssistant++ didn't show ms0 content properly, ...) I hope the Noobz! team fix it asap  Wink

What the hell does the Noobz team have to do with FileAssistant++ ?  Huh

In other words, FileAssistant++  is not being maintained by the Noobz Team.

Of course FileAssistant++ isn't maintained by Noobz but FileAssistant++ and pikey 0.3 worked quite well together under 3.40OE-A and FileAssistant++ works under 3.51M33 without pikey installed so... it's possible that pikey for 1.50 homebrew doesn't work as well under 3.51M33 as in 3.40OE-A

I finally installed 3.52 M33 and tried PiKey 0.3.

I could not try it a lot, but all I tried worked OK.

Initially I installed PiKey while at CFW 3.40 OE-A. Did not go for the flashing option during the installation.

Installed CFW 3.52 M33 (I have not used any updates so far) and PiKey still works without having to do any more than activate it in the Plugins Recovery Menu.

Still have to try it on homebrews, but browser and XMB worked OK so far (with the same already known bugs from 3.40 OE-A of course)

nosenose:

As I said, the initial 3.52 M33. I have not installed any patches/updates yet.

I will soon install the patch 4 and I will report if it still works.

Well i tried it on my PSP running M33 3.52-2. But it makes the PSP freeze on the XMB or Game Icon. I really dont know what may cause it to freeze. Does anyone else have that problem?
