I just got the "iConcepts Wireless PDA Keyboard" from a thrift shop and I just tryed it out. It read the key presses but they were wrong. "qwerty" came out with double dotted "i" 's and lots of commas and dashes, it interpretted muliple flashes from the keyboard as multiple button presses instead of just one letter/number. So basically it doesn't work.

What chances do i have with this keyboard?
does somebody know if it might be PSP compatible?
very bad Google translation of a eBay auction page

It is listed as compatible to: Acer, Asus, Casio, Dell Axim, Fujitsu Siemens, Handspring, HP / Compaq, Medion, O2, Palm, Psion, iPAQ, Sony, T-Mobile, Toshiba, Typhoon, Vodafone, Yakumo
so chances should not be too bad? Smiley
and for 18€ including shipping it might be worth the risk.
Angelo should i risk it and buy me an early christmas present? Cheesy

Get one if you wish! It's a nice cheap accessory to have. More over, it's nice to program on.

Without any major programming background. (I knew a little MS-DOS) I was able to create a few neat functions with piKey. Here is a basic function showing how the PSP is turned off via a key combonation:

ctrlout.c around line 1006 in my latest source. (8/12/08)

Quote
//Power Off
if (isKeyPressed(KEY_F2)){                       // If F2 is pressed
displayStatusText("Shutting down...");       // Display a message
sceKernelDelayThread(3 * 1000 * 1000);   // Wait 3 seconds (3000000 milliseconds)
scePowerRequestStandby();                     // PSP shutdown
}

Not too hard is it!
