Hi Guys, it's been a while but I've been happily away playing and working...

Anyway here it is :

My Targus keyboard packed in at the beginning of the year, a number of letter keys on the top right of the keyboard stopped working.  So I applied to Targus for an RMA, they responded then proceeded to ignore me for ages.  I sent them a reminder the other day as they did seem quite keen to help and they've informed me this :

Nice huh?

But what the hell, they want to offer me a usb keyboard (that looks very nice if I may say so) in replacement for a brilliant IR keyboard.  As you can see they are happy to send me any other keyboard or keypad they produce, so the choice is.. dont know cos their website is ****.

What do you suggest ?  Is there anything else that Targus produce (still) that will work with PiKey, OR is the only option to get the most expensive thing I can out of them, sell it on eBay and buy another PA870E...

Crap I was wondering why not many Targus' were or eBay!

Looks like the piKey project made them rich!

Well USB is outta the question. No way we can support that!

However getting a Targus is still avaliable!

I also suggest the Palm Universal Wireless IR Keyboard. That's what Chilly Willy uses.

Yeah, the Palm Uni. works really well.

I'd go with the option of getting the most expensive thing you can and selling it. Tongue

usb would be perfect imo, what's in the way I wonder?

no worries, gonna get the PA875 which I should be able to sell for the price of the Palm UWIK

We're currently working on 0.5 (no release date yet) and I'm using piKey to test it!

Yey  I won a PalmOne UWK for $9.99 this weekend.
I'm so happy I can play with PiKey again, had to leave it since my Targus failed.

I still have to sell the USB Targus I have, I think I should be able to get more than $9.99 for it so it's all super!

Hope you are all well enough, I'm recently installed up to 4.01M33-2 w 1.50 (from 3.80M33-5 lol, been taking a break)... does PiKey work on this or should I downgrade ?

Will have a look around see if I can answer my own questions.

piKey works on 4.01 M33 yes.

PHEW!

Check the date of my last post (July 21st), my PalmOne arrived today, finally!
I am so happy but also relieved, cannot wait to install piKey again.. in fact I shall do it now.
Happy happy excited.  Thanks again for all your hard work guys :0)

YEY! Working great on 4.01M33 with the piKey 0.4 updated version.  I am writing this post with it now.  Am happy to help with testing if needed.  Mainly I'm really happy I'm back with a bigger and badder UWK!
