Hi,

I have a PSP1000, 5.00 m33-6 firmware and a targus IR keyboard. I've had this keyboard working before with a previous firmware with PSPWrite and pikey 0.3. However the keyboard now no longer works with any version of pikey. No response at all. I don't think this is to do with my cfw upgrade as I remember it wasn't working last time I used it with the previous version of firware. I recently bought some new batteries for my keyboard as I thought that was the problem, but still it doesn't work. In short I beginning to think my keyboard is broken; is there any way for me to test this?

Thanks in advance Wink

Hi there!

You can try to use the camera of a Mobile Phone to see if there is a signal.
Try first with a remote control in a dark room.
If you see the remote blinking on the screen of the mobile your camera at least does not have a (good) IR filter.  Grin

Then try it with your Targus.
For me the signal is very, very faint but still visible as a blueish, purpelish flicker when i press a key.
Results may vary from camera to camera Wink

Thanks for advice - tried to see IR light from targus in a dark room as you suggested but didn't see anything (saw my tv remote control as a test). Anyone have any idea if the keyboard can be fixed? I may just open up it up and have a look inside to see if there's anything obviously broken.

you can test with a multimeter if the batteries you bought are OK.
I have no idea how to get at the IR lamp of the targus but maybe you could also test if there flows any current...
