Im new to the whole PSP homebrew and any kind of modding and CFW's in general. I just recently decided to try it becuase my PSP has been sitting around virtually unused for the past few years. I updated to 6.60 OFW and proceeded with changing it to 6.60 PRO-B9. I was finally succesful in changing to custom firmware after hours of struggling trying to create a pandoras batter on 3.51 OFW.

What im wondering is i see ALOT of talk about 1.50 firmware, and im wondering if there is any reason for me to downgrade to an older version of custom firmware, I.E do different older versions have functionality 6.60 pro B9 will not?

Also can i create a pandoras batter on 6.60 Pro B-9? i do have a spare batter

The reason for downgrading to 1.50 was to enable you to install CFW and was also useful for using certain homebrew.

I suggest you stay at 6.60 pro B9

Unsure about the battery questions as I am not on the CFW
