Well, after all this time I've finally decided to make a new guide on how to convert your PS1 games to your PSP. This one actually has illustrations, so hopefully it'll be a little better help to those of you who still don't know how to do this. Lastly, I REALLY HOPE this doesn't violate any forum rules. I was careful and don't think I did. If I did though, please PM me and tell me how I need to change it in order to make it good to go. So anways. Here it is:
Mechwarrior117's PS1 to PSP Conversion Guide
This guide will tell you how to convert your old PS1 games to play on your PSP. Some games, unfortunately, will not work properly on the PSP. But most games will, and chances are yours will work just fine.
What you'll need:
1) A Homebrew PSP
2) ImgBurn - Download here:
http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download3) IceTea - Download here:
http://www.brothersoft.com/icetea-66029.htmlLets get started:
First, download ImgBurn and IceTea. Then install ImgBurn to where ever you wish. Then run ImgBurn. The menu should look like this:

Go ahead and click on "Create image file from disc". Then put the PS1 game that you would like to put on your PSP into the CD drive. Then select your CD drive from the drop down menu:

Now click on the folder icon:

Then click on the drop down menu and select "BIN Files (*.bin)". Then just choose the directory where you would like the file to be saved. Then click the save button:

Now just click the button with the picture of the disc:

To begin the procedure:

Then just wait for it to finish:

Now go ahead and exit out of ImgBurn completely. Then start IceTea:

When you get IceTea up and running click on Select:

Now browse to the directory where you saved the bin file of the CD. When you get there you may have to select "BIN File (*.bin)" from the drop down menu to make it appear:

Then select the BIN file:

Then click Open:

Now its time to adjust the level of compression:

For right now just go ahead and put the compression at maximum:

Now you need to go to
www.sonyindex.com/Pages/PSone_US_Name.htm and find your game on the list:

Then put in the four letters and five numbers for your game's "game id". NOTE - Sometimes IceTea will automatically put in a game id for you. It is still a good idea though to go to the above mentioned website and check to make sure it's right.:

Now type in the name of your game for the game title. This is how it will appear on your PSP's menu:

Then click the save button:

And choose the directory where you would like the EBOOT (a type of file your PSP can recognize) to be saved. Then click the save button:

Then click the "Let's go" button:

To start the conversion:

It may take a little bit for it to finish:

Now plug your PSP into your computer, then go to "My Computer" then X:\PSP\GAME (X represents the drive letter for your PSP). Once your there create a new folder in that directory then rename it the same name as your game title:

Now go to the directory where you saved your EBOOT file and copy it:

Then go into the folder you just created on your PSP and paste the EBOOT file into that folder:

Now unplug your PSP, go to your Game menu, select Memory Stick, and you should now have your PS1 game show up on your PSP's menu, and you should now be able to play it.

Now if you run into any problems or need help with something on this guide PLEASE PM ME! DO NOT POST QUESTIONS IN THE FORUM! I really don't want admins freaking out because someone asked some question that an admin thinks is locking material. So please, if you have a question or need help, PM me. Thank you, and good luck.
