Hi,

I am completely out of my element here so please bear with me.  Yesterday my 8 yr old grandson came to me with his PSP and said it doesn't work.  As far as I can tell it is bricked (a term that was completely unknown to me before yesterday).  It has all the symptoms and occured when he started hitting buttons when a new game was loading.  I'm surprised he hasn't done it before now.  Anyway, I was going to send it back to Sony for repair when I came across conferences that discussed making a Pandora battery and magic memory stick.  But, you need a home brew enabled (another unfamiliar term before yesterday) PSP to do it.  I do not have access to one.  I HAVE to get this PSP working again.  It is a special PSP in that it was given to him as a late Xmas present by his Dad, who died this summer (really).

Since I can't create my own battery and memory stick, I'm wondering if the ones offered online for sale are reputable.    It's either that or send it to a repair house for a new Mboard.  I'd prefer the battery and stick since he's 8 years old and if it happened once.....

Thanks,

George

Have a look at  this Thread and look for:
  • Somebody local you could meet to unbrick your PSP by using his pandora´s battery set in it or
  • Somebody local -or not- to send him your memory stick and battery in the post, so he can get them converted for you and then receive them back in the post to use in the broken PSP to unbrick it.

Good luck.
