That 'thing' looks unfamilar.

it might be one leg of the eight legged chip on the underside of the board.

If that is a cheap non original battery you are probably out of luck
Probably you will destroy the battery if you cut legs maybe you even fry your PSP.

Better get someone with a working Battery and invite him to a Moccachino for his Trouble.

I never bought a pandora battery, i soft modded mine.
Datel makes usable and fully soft pandorizable PSP batteries when i get it right their also look at their 'MAX Power Digital' battery it has a build in switch to make it a pandora and back...

also have a look at Wakaru's Visual Guide to pandorizable batteries.

I highly realy highly reccomend that you take a look at the Pandora Helper Thread to find someone in your area to help you out.

I cant say anything else then that the seller recived mostly positive feedback.
Those batteries seem to be hardmodded and according to some feedback you also recive a magic memorystick with it
which is BTW illegal in most countries because 1. it contains files copyrighted by sony which are modified without their consent 2. the license under which C+D distributed the Magic memorystick creator includes that it may not be sold...
that might be the reason why he doesnot mention it anywhere he just gives it as a bonus to the sold battery and you cant blame him if he does not include it or it does not work Wink
