lumines

Hi,
I was just reading on the net that all vers of lumines(1) are unpatched, none were fixed up, is this true? cause everywhere I look they all say make sure they have the code ......, but acording to the site I was just reading, it wouldnt matter what code they have (the code on the spine of the box). if anyone can shed some light on this for me, i would be grateful.

I think in  Japan yes but heard any other places where  it's been patched.

Japan is the only region where I'm aware of clear evidence of patching, but there's also reasonable evidence to suggest that it's been recalled from shop shelves in other regions, and replaced with patched copies - it's just not as clear-cut as for Japan.

If you can get a second-hand copy that's not one of the 'greatest hits / the best / platinum' versions, then you can be pretty sure that it's not patched.  If you're buying a new copy from a store, then I'd say it's a lot more risky.
