IRShell and Using USB to link PSP to computer to access files

I've read a couple things about IRShell at a couple different sites, and from what I've read, you can use the PSP's infrared port to control various devices. I've also read about connecting your PSP to your computer and accessing files and load ROMs and other things. Can anyone tell me about this? I tried searching, but couldnt find too much information about it.

All that can be done via IRShell, however it stopped working after 3.90 M33.
I doubt the developer (Ahman) will release another.
