Custom firmware = The LATEST real firmware + some extra goodies. You'll be able to play the LATEST games NAD your retro ones too!

You'll be fine!

Anytime...

Just want to ask, are you using a PSP slim or a PSP fat?

fat y?

Because there is a large difference between the two! You actually in my opinion got the better Wink. The slim can't use the 1.5 kernel addon but the fat can!

In future there will not be any more 1.50 kernel addons for CFW, hence both will be "similar" in a way.

Well there are still plenty of games using the 1.5 kernel and I think it will most likely stay. If not there is going to have to be some way of emulating it or such because I really doubt all developers are going to take the time to rewrite their games....

Ooohhh...

On PS2Dev forums, you MENTION the 1.50 kernel... they go bizzerk!

All developers that are still on the PSP scene have to do their application in the 3.XX 4.XX kernel.

I changed piKey so it works like that! The process is really easy!  Grin

Well... it isn't as simple as editing an EBOOT.

Like a Start.EXE or a EBOOT.PBP file, it all start off with a source code.

The developer makes the code and uses a compiler to make the code into the end product.

A PC based C++ code will be passed onto the .NET compiler and will be turned into an EXE file.

A PSP based C code will be passed onto the .PSP Toolchain compiler and will be turned into a PRX or an EBOOT file.

Have I confused you yet?
