Help plz 3.40 OE-A and i wanna goto Ofiicial updates

Hi all and thanks for taking the time to look, i have searched the threads and can't find a solution to this problem

I have a PSP 3.40 OE-A and i wish to remove the custom firmware and use offical firmware, reason being i just don't use my PSP enough to use homebrew and when i do use it (on hols mostly) i just want to play umd games and moves. I got the Custom firmware but on by my bro in law to play FF8 on my PSP but i didn't watch how he did it, all i know is he used Hen and something else to revert back to 1.50.

I am able to get the recovery menu up, and when i put 150/340/395 upgrades in (which i renamed "EBOOT.PBP" and launch i get a message saying corrupted file. If i try to launch an updated from normal PSP menu i get "DADADADA" telling me i can't upgrade, i believe this is cause my kernal is 150, but i'm not sure. I have tried changing the kernal folder in Recovery menu and i have run out of options, i do not want to mess with my battery and i do have a copy of lumines already (great game). I should add that my PSP does not have any numbers on the motherboard behind the UMD drive, i did buy it on UK release date. I don't think there is anything else to add, except i have a 1gig memory stick (sony duo)

Options:

1- Create a Pandora´s Battery and install official firmware that way (3.90) and you´ll loose the goodies from the CFW.

2- Create a Pandora´s Battery and install CFW that way (3.90 M33), which will let you play any official UMD game or UMD video plus all the goodies of the CFW.

3- Install the latest CFW from Dar_Alex (3.90 M33) without pandora, which will let you play any official UMD game or UMD video plus all the goodies of the CFW. Bear in mind that you´ll have to install 3.52 M33-4 before you can install 3.90 M33

4- Use Chilly_Willy´s Key Cleaner to revert your IDStorage keys back to what they were, risking the chance of a brick if you do not know what you´re doing (most likely), and then use any official EBOOT over 3.40.

I would choose options 3 or 2 in that order.

Why can't a person just officially update it? Didn't dark_alex include the official update option in the wireless update?

Updating from CFW to OFW corrupts the PSP into a brick.

It's Sony's defense I guess. I think it also has to do with corrupted flash files.

So whenever one updates to OFW when they have CFW they get an error:

DADADADA

Yes that's the case. If it was a simple EBOOT, that'll be illegal. It clearly states in the Update.PBP that any modifications is ILLEGAL. So Dark_AleX thought of a way to overcome this.

How the M33 installer works:

-  Flash the official firmware to the PSP.
-  Flash the special M33 modified files to the PSP.

That's it!

The secret to custom firmware is boiled down to about 10 or so edited flash files and a few extra files coded by Dark_AleX!

Sounds simple doesn't it? Well it's not!

Think of it as modifying your PC so that the scroll on your mouse changes windows. To have that. you need to modify the file on your computer that's in charge of that scrolling function.

Mouse scroll file:

If Mouse Scroll down:

Scroll down window.
Change window.


PSP EBOOT Check:

If an EBOOT is launched:

Check to see if it is an official EBOOT and run.
Run the EBOOT.

That isn't at ALL accurate, but it's the best way I can think of explaining it to you.
