heya everyone.

i would like to know, how come talking about iso's and how to make them, and use them is banned on noobz?

cause i am interested in how i can iso the GAMES THAT I HAVE PURCHASED, AND LEGALLY OWN, so i can use them on my psp while i am at work, so i dont have to use the disk, i work security for long hours, and the last thing i want to be doing is looking for a disk.

in australia, where i live, we are allowed to make 1 backup copy of the disk, for archiving reasons, so that means as long as we have purchased the oringal, either via electronic download, or physical media, we are allowed to have 1 backup.

i read another post, about iso's and someone posted that iso talk is not allowed on noobz, and he posted a link, and when i clicked on the link, it had nothing about iso talk, and why its not allowed.

many thanks

Pay attention to the Forum Rules, specifically point No 4.

We understand that there might be occasions where the genuine use of ISOs from your owned games will be acceptable and fall within the legality (This is always arguable and usually varies according to the different national laws for every country). Nevertheless there are many many many other occasions where using ISO files is both unacceptable and completely ilegal let alone very much related to piracy matters.

A decission had to be taken by the Noobz Team when these forums started. In order to avoid any potential problems from the legal point of view it was decided that there was not going to be ISO talk allowed in this forums of any sort. As such, you have to respect this and abide by the rules if you intend to use the forums.

If you like it, it's fine, if not it's OK as well but you're welcome to leave these forums and find your answers somewhere else.

As far as we know nobody is forcing you to stay in these forums, so  if you want to speak about ISOs, then you'll have to do it in some other forums where they do not care as much as us about the piracy matters.

The Noobz Team DO NOT CONDONE PIRACY.

Any topic with ISO related talks will be locked and / or removed straightaway without any prior warning.

Don't forget that the original intention of these forums was purely to give support to the Noobz Team releases which, by the way, have nothing to do with playing ISOs in your console system.

Although I am against piracy, I do feel that ISO talk is a bit strict on these forums. ISO's aren't always what people think. ISO's are used in iRShell and to convert PS1 games too.

I totaly agree with locking people that talk about piracy but to lock posts due to, for example, PS1 to PSP conversion may need to be relooked at.

Anywho... I guess it's for the safety of the scene and the gaming industry! Ha

alot of forums are opposed to "ISO talk". there have been a few forums that were closed or threatened by the CRIA because of such (talks). nobody wants that here.
