games not working! please help a beginner

hi i have my sons psp sorted, been downgraded( i think thats what its called) which is allowing me to download games through torrent and put them onto the psp.
the problem is most of the games i downloaded wont work . i have them in a file to copy and paste onto console when plugged into pc and i belive its an iso file i put them in, i done that but nothing comes up on memory stick . nothing there or it sometimes says corrupy data but mainly after i have copied it into iso folder of the psp(connected to pc) from computer there is no file there??? what am i doing wrong??
