flash0 differ frm psp to psp?

why does the flash0 differ from psp to psp?.......because me and my friends wanted to do a test so we bought two new psp's at the same time upgraded it and tried exchanging the flash0(i remembered to make a backup)but it still didnt work,so does that mean every flash0 differs frm psp to psp...........but why ??
