well the rule with roms is 24hours they have to be deleted if u dont have the original game , well thats what most good emulation sites say.... and some old games are protected by some lame rights board, so they cant be downloaded, but like wakaru said, basically if u got it for free its illegal, unless its within the 24hours i guess, maybe there is a way around it lol,

The rule of thumb that works best for iso's is if you can't reach for the disk when playing it, it's illegal.

What if you accendenty on purpose backed it up on your PSP nad then forgot to delete it after 24 hours. *Tapps away on PSP.*

Nah... the only ROMS I own are GBA or GB games I still have or have lost them somewhere. the only emulators I use are the GBA, GB, PSX and the other one built into the PSP. I have a whole box of all the old games in my cupboard, but magicly, they fit nicely on my 4GB! Grin

lol i still got my original gb somewhere, with my gbc and my gba somewhere, might get it back out 1 day, but if u ask me, just dont tell any1 and they wont know that u have them, thats the simplest thing,
when i was younger i had a whole cd full of roms and stuff and then the cd broke, i was so sad so many unfinished games .... *tears come to eyes* lol

This is true. however in their defense, They are useful if you do actually have the game and are clueless on how to make an copy of it

True I was at the Salvation and found 22 NES games that I purchased for $28 now it had mario bros 1, 2, 3, among others and bought a couple of SNES games on Ebay for .99 cents a piece including my favorite mario world. Before I joined the forums I thought the only way to play this was buying an FC Twin (which I did, $30 well spent) that played both NES and SNES I would certainly like to know how to make the marios into copies for my psp. I don't want to know where to get roms just how to backup what I got, to make my Mario's mobile.

I am afraid you will require an additional piece of hardware in order to dump your own cartridges. Nevermind, this discussion is well out of the purpose of these forums (let alone of the forum rules Wink)

Wow everyone kinda got off topic! Anyway I think something that needs to be added to the UHTG is a list of vocab that is common to the PSP. Like what flash1, flash0, prx, etc actually means because I'm still pretty clueless about them!

Brief guide:

Flash 0 - PSP's internal files. This is the equivalent to the "Windows" folder on XP or Vista.

Flash 1 - PSP's internal settings files. Here are the file that remember you setting. (Web, background, name...)

PRX  - This is a file that runs in the background of the PSP's opperating system. Something like screen capture plugin loads and runs in the background of the PSP and is ready when you tell it to be ready.

An EBOOT needs to to be launched and when you exit it goes back to the XMB. A PRX loads and exits without the need to restart when it's started and stopped.

That explination was pretty crappy...
