1.50 to 3.52

what you will need:

*A psp with firmware 1.50

*A computer with USB port

*psp usb cable

things to know:

*myself and the hackers  that make the programs  firmware and guides will not take any responsibility
if your psp bricks or stops working.

*If you use this guide  then your psp will not brick!

The first step:

*go to settings system settings  and format memory stick
(IF YOU HAVE FILES YOU WHANT TO KEEP AND USE TAKE THEM OFF BEFOR YOU FORMAT)

*Next go to settings  usb connection

second step:

*go to this web page and download the file:     http://community.hackingp...forums/7965/ShowPost.aspx

*next start it up it will give you a warning (like the one in things to no)

*after hitting ok put in your current firmware (1.50)

*next the target firmware (3.52)

*now hit go you will see a window pop up this is asking you to check that the information is right hit yes  if it not hit no

*now the program will start to download the files this will take 2-3 mins
after it is finished downloading it will tell you to : exit usb

go to game then down to memory stick

then hit X on KTplote this will flash some files on to your psp (is very fast)

now thats finished go to 3.52 M33 creator and hit X this will start

this may take some time so pleas give it time  dont hit your psp

third step

*now you need to use 3.52 update

*run this and you are finished

*go to settings system settings then system information

now that 3.52 M33 on your psp you may wish to up date it to 3.52 M33-4 do do this use this program http://rapidshare.com/fil.../CFW3.52-M33-Update-4.zip un zip it and run the program and their you go you will be a t3.52 M33-4

if you see this under any one  name please report them thanks.

If i want to update to 3.52 from 1.50 i just download the original update and install it xD

I think you want to name this thread 1.50 to 3.52M33-4  Tutorial.

on the other hand... that is already described in a sticky i belive.
and its REALY not that hard to do it by hand.

they can, if they search for a KTplote patcher...
I dont think the thing this installer copies is named that.
Also the guide does not mention that you will need internet when you execute the installer.
AND it does not link to the original release thread, no user will ever know when a new installer is released.
(maybe a 3.71m33 installer is already out?)

ah, i could lament all day Wink

I would not call all the Homebrewdeveloper 'hacker'. Many have no or close to no idea what hacking is about.

Dont promise no bricks, a hardware fault is ALLWAYS possible (broken memstick, poweroutage, meteroid hit, defective flash)

I would place the Backup part as a preamble so that no overexited kiddy reads line by line and does what is told and... gone are his precious Spongehead videos

Try to find the original release thread of that easy installer made by its creator.

I dont get this sentance "*next start it up it will give you a warning (like the one in things to no)"
Maybe you can insert a screenshot. You may be able to host it on imageshack.us

As a target firmware you should probably input 3.52 M33, dont you think?

Next: "this may take some time so pleas give it time  dont hit your psp "
And dont turn it off, if you have a bad fake this may take up to ten minutes or longer!

"*run this and you are finished"
And what follows is the update to 3.52m33-4 ^^
so you are NOT finished! i would not reccomend using this firmware without the latest patch!

I will NOT argue with you about the source of the m33-4 update since i think the original is still password protected and the original releasthread in a russian forum got deleted, the Password with it ^^

oh, i can imagine
and i adore(?) all guide writers i could never come up with something like that on my own.
I am a flaw finder, a debugger, a flea hunter and a hypocrit as said ^^'
(i only find the flaws in others work, never my own)

And i have just double checkd the m33-4 update.
The password protection is gone i belive,
please check it at www.dark-alex.org

You should link to that since it includes the readme and the POPs plugin (since your rapid share link is already broken)

I am sorry.
the guide was not bad.
and i will remove every point i find improved to my satisfaction, i promise!

I am just a bit preocupied against easy installers when i think there is already a good guide how to do it 'by hand'
Probably i have let my loyalty to wakaru get in the way too ':)
sorry

You are right, human failure is greatly pushed toward the Programmer ^^

I remember when ps3news modified one m33 update resulting in a wave of bricks.
A scream went up blaming the team to intentionaly releasing malware...
well, dark_alex mentioned specificaly that it is dangerous to modify the update
but the users of that webpage never got a chance to read THAT readme...
There where hundreds of victims and the admins kept deleting negative comments on the file and banned negative posters on the forum.
(try to post this story on their forum if you want your account deleted. its faster then deleting manual xD)

So, this story can be taken as a warning to
a: always go to the Source
b: never jump the first train
c: always read second opinions
d: learn, read, understand and in the end do.
e: not everything that looks mint is what it claims to be

That has nothing to do with you but its about why i like the sources straight so much
and why i like to have as much control as i can get ^^
