you know, It would have been easier for the config.txt if you just attached it yourself instead of making some people forced to register, and wait 15 mins for the email to come to their custom domain just for
'NOTHING = "/TM/DC5/ipl.bin";
'
 Sad

Hmm good point Kloplop321.

Anyway we can upload the files to the Noobz server WaKaRu?

You can convert a bettery either by hard modding it or with a PSP with CFW or 1.50.

@ Pein
The battery itself will be exactly the same, although if it´s a Fat battery you may struggle to push it  into the Slim PSP, however the files in the memory stick may need to be different, so you should follow the instructions of the guide to create another memory stick (with DC v5).

It worked. You should add on the guide: "If you already made a pandoras battery then skip to the memory card instructions" because i looked on google and other forums forever before someone knew the answer.

@ sava_ten

/TM stands for TimeMachine. That folder is generated after running DCv5.

That error message you encountered when trying to run DCv5 can be sorted out by:

1 - Either using the mspformat tool included in the original Pandora´s Battery release from Team C+D before between steps 2 & 3 of this guide (Follow the bundled instructions), or
2 - Install Dark_Alex´s time machine before the whole process, run it in the PSP, and select the 1st option for installing the IPL manually. Then run DCv5 again and you should not see that error because it´s been already installed by Time Machine.

Probably the 2nd option will be easier. If Option 2 don´t work on its own, do option 1 first, and then 2 second.

This problem happen in a small number of memory sticks, probably because they´re fakes, but that´s just my guess.

I've been comparing this guide with the guide at http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3780 and noticed one difference. This guide doesn't use Time Machine. The other guide does. What would be the significance of missing out Time Machine, and is it a compulsory step for Time Machine?

2nd query: Notice how this upgrades PSP to 3.90. The a new version comes out and we have to go through the whole procedure updating our magic stick. I liked the classic old Pandora where it just downgrades to 1.50... and then we can do upgrade to whatever version we like. But the again Time Machine will be useful.

3rd query: Is it possible to downgrade slim to 1.50 and leave it at 1.50? Or does slim have a min. working FW (like 1.60 I think)?

You do not require timemachine to run DCv5 stick with the tutorial here and you won't have a problem, stop reading them second class forums ha ha...

Once your on 3.90m33-3 CFW you won't need your Pandora battery or memory stick to upgrade to a newer CFW, these are used to downgrade/install CFW from Sony official firmware, you may want to keep them in case you psp bricks, also the M33 team added the network update feature after 3.80M33, works exactly like the Sony network update, check it is enabled in the recovery menu.

the slim does not support 1.50, slims first shipped with 3.60.

The Timemachine is a program to load previous firmwares and custom firmwares from memory stick
using pandora. Like devhook, but working throgh pandora and custom ipl's, it would work even if the
flash and nand ipl of the machine is destroyed.
The timemachine is useful to run software that is not supported anymore, and also as a way of
booting psp's even if the internal firmware is destroyed. It can also be useful for developers
to test their homebrew in different firmwares. You can also use it to use your pandora battery as a normal battery.

Sorry for mabye a bit of thread bumping, but I need to ask.

It says, in the guide, that you must be running a 2.xx or a 3.xx kernal.
Does this mean that this guide wont work if I have 4.01M33-2 installed?
If so, what is the solution? Do I have to wait untill a new Desperato de Cementerio comes out, or a new Time Machine, or can I use Time Machine 0.1 to downgrade my CFW PSP to 3.60M33 then upgrade it to 3.91M33? (please say I don't need to do that; that would be very bothersom...)

Also, if a have a TOOL battery, or whatever it's called (it's advertised as a 'Pandora's Battery) should I skip out the whole 'Creating The Jigkick Battey' segment and just do the rest, or are there some additional instructions I need? Or will the TOOL battery even work? (its 3.6v and 1800mAh)

Finally, im sure on my old PSP I had a program called '1.50 restore; but I can'd it. In the M33 recovery menu it says: run program at PSP\UPDATE' or something like that. Does that mean if I put 150.PBP in the UPDATE folder and select that option, it'll return my PSP to 1.50?

There is no risk of bricking whatsoever.
