My first brick occurred when my psp kept on getting random bsods and eventually stopped working all together.

I ran pandora's battery I got an error writing system.dreg which landed me with a bsod whenever i turned the psp on. if i pressed O, it would restart and give me another bsod.  I was told to flash a 1.5 nand dump w/o idstorage.  I did so and my psp began to work again, however whenever i went to edit the settings, the psp would brick.  I went back and forth from official sony fws (in hopes of fixing the settings problem) to 3.52 m33 to 1.5 (when it bricked again).  At one point i think I may have flashed a 1.5 nand (w/o id storage) to a psp that was not 1.5.  I also remember an error updating to 3.52 m33 which may have occured after flashing the nand but I don't remember the sequence of events very well.  One of these things, I believe, resulted in a brick that pandora cannot fix in its present state.

Now, when I run pandora, it formats the flash drives, but then freezes and restarts.  When I run the new version of pandora, my psp freezes at "formatting flash0" and restarts.  When I try to downgrade using the extended boot menu (0.84), it says "error: unassigning flash0", after it does its thing with psar and then restarts.  I have also tried running key cleaner from the extended menu, but fixing the keys didn't fix my problem.  I am, however, able to boot off the memory stick using the extended menu.

Is there anyway I could regain full functionality?  Thanks a lot.

...sorry this is so long, I don't know how much info is relevant...
