My friend has a 4.05 OFW. I just made a PSP FAT/Slim Pandora & Magic Stick 3.90 using DC5.

He says his game Monster Hunter 2G needed it.

1. Is it possible to downgrade a 4.05 OFW? Every Pandora tutorial I read, it says, "unbrick ALL firmware versions, ALL future firmware versions". Does this statement still hold true? The reason is because I haven't seen anyone mentioning about downgrading a 4.05 OFW.

2. Has anyone got Monster Hunter 2G? Can it run on 3.90, or 4.01? Or only runs on 4.05?

PS: I was trying to open up a full page of previous archived news... for my friend to read up on Pandora. But it doesn't work. Just shows a blank page in IE7. Tried FF and it just times out.

Pandora can downgrade ALL firmwares. Including ones that haven't been made yet!

Custom firmware can also play games that require higher versions such as 4.05.

Don't worry you're all safe!

Thanks wakaru. Where did you get this information? Have you played Monster Hunter 2G on a 3.80?

I think that would be great to have some database/website to list minimum firmware versions to play specific games. Would help a great deal.

No point as game companies change the update version!

Burnout Legends was a 1.50 update, now it's a 2.00.

Tomb Raider was a 2.00, now it's a 2.60.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter as CFW can launch any executable as long as it isn't dependent on a certain feature of the firmware!
