Not yet my friend!

Maybe sometime in the future. Wink

Just be patient and I'm sure team C+D will hack it!

Well No Not yet

But really good news
we are only a few blocks way from hacking it

Datel is making a "Battery"
That is going to make the PSP 3000 go to service mode?
do you think that The IPL would load???

I read it on Maxconsole.net

Datel like to steal ideas and sell them to the public who don'y know any better.

I suggest you wait for the true hackers like team "C+D / Prometheus Project" to see what holds for the future.

Datel won't be stupid enough to hack the PSP as Sony will screw at them and may deny them PSP privilages.

Good things come to those that wait... Wink

datel have made a battery that does indeed boot the psp into service mode, but there is no way to load the IPL yet, D_A needs to get his signing on the code good enough for the psp to accept it...

or something along those lines.

To speak in an Images...
We dont know yet the dresscode of the exclusive PSP-3000 Club to pass the Door
so that all the funky visitors we try to send to party there just talk to the hand Wink

Sadly the door does not tell us what was wrong with our outfit.
It just does not open the door.

Before on PSP-1000 - 2000 clubs we simply asked Scotty to beam us behind Kirk who guarded the door
or something along that lines Wink and completely bypassed the dresscode check.
Thats now sadly impossible the door is not penetrateble by our current transporter technology.

It is real and at the same time not.

Around that video a scene drama unfolded.
It used an kernel mode exploit that Dark_Alex wants to keep a secret
Miriam the hacker that made this installer had to promise Dark_Alex not to release programs that use this exploit.
So she released this Video and got bashed badly for it
In the original video it says that they will not release this before another exploit is found because they know if they release it sony will patch it in the next firmware version.

Up to today there is no other kernelmode exploit so... probably it will stay irreal for a while.
It exists but will not be released.

but later sony still going launch new firmware 5.03 that with a strong security,
so that some people said "stay your psp version at 5.02"

So if Dark_Alex release 5.02m33 now or later, Sony also will launch 5.03.........

When people say 'stay at 5.02' then it is mainly because 5.03 only fixes the exploits we use.
There are no new features so there is no gain in upgrading.
Also it blocks one more way that maybe will lead to homebrew.

If there will be a 5.02M33 you very probably wont be able to upgrade directly from lower Official Firmwares.
You will need one of those exploits to launch the Updater even if we dont know yet which exploit that will be,
so it is best to keep all the options open.

It could be that they crack the encoding for sony updates but it is VERY VERY improbable. It could be that there will be another Magic memorystick but at the moment even that is very unlikely.

At the Moment it is best to bet on the Gripshift Exploit.
That will most likely give us a HEN which will be unable to access the PSP's flash and to launch backup games or PS1 games.
But the world of usermode homebrew will be wide open once again!

Again there wont be a direct upgrade from official to custom firmware.
A CFW installer will most probably have Downgrader capabilities.
(it will replace the current firmware regardles which it is)

1st: with the current way Gripshift is used you will need gripshift everytime you want to use homebrew.
There might be other options later but at the moment there is just a plain Binary loader.
For every Homebrew you need to have a specialy prepared Savegame and you can only have one of them 'active'.
When Team Noobz succeeds with their HEN it will probably load a menu that allows you to select homebrew from a list.
But still you wil need to run Gripshift from the UMD everytime you want to launch homebrew.
I am not part of that team and have no contact to them or any info regarding their progress.
I just watch over this Forum.

2nd: Nope it is not. And please no further questions regarding Backups or pirated games.
Just plain legal Homebrew questions on this Forum please.

Hell yea, if theres too much speak of piracy you'll get into problems...
If any of the developers read this:
Would it be possible to make something that will force them to remove the security, for some reason?
If you could figure out what protection they use, find a leak in that to make something malicious, forcing them to upgrade to 5.04 with another protection. If its too difficult to crack their current protection?

I got a PSP 3000 (I really hope the anti-reflection and graphics enhancement is worth the extra 100$).
