PSP 1001 (fat) with Slim battery (PSP-S110) pandora etc help?

ok, so apparently its impossible to get a new fat psp battery in delaware, usa.
I tried to make a pandora battery with the original battery that came with the fat psp and accidentally cut into the battery..thus that battery is now dead.

so, i now have this psp slim battery for psp 2000 models...it says dont use in other models, BUT if you go to the sony website and pull up psp 1001 accessories and click on the battery it says the psp-s110 battery will work.  *however this battery doesnt wanna charge inside my psp..if it is charging, the led indicator isnt coming on like before*

so yea, i wish to try to pandorize this battery but only if i can make it a regular battery afterwards.
I wanna make the psp so i can play downloaded psp games on my memory stick...if thats even possible.
I have searched online and because i have a psp slim battery, and a fat psp this makes things complicated.

so if anyone can point me in the right direction please do.
