i did read the readme.txt, i guess all i needed actually was some clarification, as i got confused because this line
Note that a pale blue screen will appear again every time the PSP reboots with HEN active.
made me think HEN is always active, and by "Hardware reset" you guys meant changing motherboards or flash memory.
No mate, hardware reset means as in when you reset a PC or any other machine (This is turning it off and back on).
Thanks alot for your quick help, and keep surprising everyone! =P.
You´re welcome, but I´m just a PSP user. Nothing to do with Nobbz Team. So you should be thanking them.
***EDIT***
ok it worked in about the 50th time (no kidding)..
just 1 more quick question- what are the odds of bricking with the mentioned downgrader? i just need plain %
I would say 99.9%...
No offense but the other 0.1% is down to the stupidity of the person downgrading due to failure in reading the instructions properly (or not reading them at all!).
I would say that the critical step is:
- If running a ta-082 PSP execute the 2.80 idstorage changer. It needs 75% battery.
It will change some keys of your idstorage needed to downgrade the ta-082.
With the 2.80 downgrader, it´s the user who must run the Idstorage changer manually based on whether or not your PSP is a TA-082+. If for a chance yours is a TA-082 or TA-086 and you skip that step... you WILL get a brick.
Newest downgraders (3.03 and 3.50) will do it automatically for you since they autodetect your motherboard during the process, so they are less risky fro that point of view. On the other hand thay require a specific game for the downgrade.
So the choice is yours.
If you choose to use the 2.80 downgrader just make sure you know if your PSP is a TA-082+ and run the IDStorage changer accordingly. Then you will be 100% safe.
