i used to really follow the PSP homebrew scene, but i have really lost contact in it for the past year or two. I would like for some realllllly niceeee knowledgable person to help me with my problem. I have a PSP with firmware 2.6 and i would like to know what i should do to use homebrew again. Do i get custom firmware and if so where and how do i go about doing this? I really want to get up to date on homebrew on my psp, so if you know the best way to run homebrew from a current firmware of 2.6, please tell me!

Yes you need custom firmware and the best place for advice in downgrading is here, first you need to update your PSP to 2.80 then downgrade to 1.50 then install CFW from there, follow this guide here http://forums.noobz.eu/do...der-guide-instructions/0/ ensuring you meet all requirements.
