People who can help you downgrade a v2.81-v3.03 PSP (GTA)

v2.81-v3.03 PSPs need either the Grand Theft Auto : Liberty City Stories or Lumines game disks to be able to downgrade.

We appreciate it can be hard to find the necessary versions of those games.  This thread is an attempt to collect a list of volunteers who are offering to downgrade your PSP for you.

If you have GTA, and are able to help out fellow homebrewers, please post in the following format:

• Your location
• Your level of experience downgrading
• Any fee you wish to charge (I recommend a donation-based approach, rather than fixed fee)
• Any other conditions or relevant information

If you have Lumines, please post in the Lumines-based thread, and not this one.

If you don't have either game, and are just looking for someone to help you out, DO NOT POST - your post will just be removed.  Instead, just send a message to someone in this list who is in your area.

• You should send via insured post.  This costs about £7 each way in the UK, about 15 euros for European countries, and maybe $20 each way for the US.

Location: Usually in UK (Wakefield, West Yorkshire) and occasionally in SPAIN (Madrid capital y Oriente de Asturias) but just a few weeks a year on holidays O:-), PM me is you want to find out when exactly.

Experience: I have been following the PSP scene for about 2 years now and I have tested most of the downgraders so far. Downgraded many PSPs owned by close friends without a single brick by using the very early downgraders and also the latest ones based on Lumines and GTA:LCS. I also like to keep a spare battery/memory stick set in the form of a Pandora´s Battery for a quick and efficient way to downgrade/unbrick PSPs.

Services Offered:

• Downgrade of PSP-100* (AKA Old / Fat PSP) [ANY FIRMWARE down to 1.50]
• Unbricking of PSP-100* (AKA Old / Fat PSP) [As long as the brick was a result of a flash corruption, not of a hardware failure]
• Custom Firmware install in PSP-200* (AKA Slim PSP) [ANY FIRMWARE to 3.71 M33]
• Unbricking of PSP-200* (AKA Slim PSP) [As long as the brick was a result of a flash corruption, not of a hardware failure]

Fee: At least the postage costs for the return  of the PSP or memory stick/battery set (including packaging materials). Also a voluntary choice of donation for what you think my time is worth, preferably via PayPal, is more than welcome. The voluntary donation does not have to be money necessarily. I will accept anything instead, hardware for instance (Old UMD Games you do not play anymore, low capacity memory sticks, batteries, fascias, bricked PSPs or motherboards, RAM Memory for my Inspiron 8600, EDIT: Thanks to Khile´s generosity I have been given a wonderful Slim PS2 for downgrading his PSP, so any hardware/games for the PS2 would be a great donation as well ). Donation is NOT COMPULSORY. I am not in this for the money, just to give to the big PSP community in return for all the satisfaction  I have been getting all this years from it.

• I am prepared to downgrade/unbrick for people based anywhere in the world, as long as you are prepared to cover the postage costs both ways.
• I´m afraid I am NOT renting / leasing neither my Lumines nor my GTA:LCS UMD games. They´re the only ones I´ve got.
• Before sending any bricked PSP please ensure that they got bricked in the process of upgrading/downgrading firmwares or personalizing it (fiddling with flash0 memory). If the bricked PSP is a result of a hardware failure this method will NOT work.
• I could also help installing any CFW available if you are interested.
• NO HELP or SUPPORT whatsoever will be given in terms of ISOs, so refrain from asking anything related.
• Don´t mind meeting locally for the downgrading process... (Pub, Starbucks etc...) as long as you live nearby and I do not have anything else to do.
• Should you choose posting it, you should send it via insured post covering the value of  the contents:  
  
  • For the PSP this costs about £7 each way in the UK, about 15 euros for European countries, and maybe $20 each way for the US.
  • For the Battery/Memory Stick, postage will be considerable cheaper.
  • People will have to follow a specific packaging/wrapping procedure to post the PSP or Battery/Memory Stick set as to ensure the integrity of the parcel contents in transit (<- Click to view). I am not liable for any damage occurred in transit, so make sure everything is properly packaged prior to be posted. I will use EXACTLY the same postage procedure (packaging/wrapping) that you used.

    * Make sure your PSP is not bricked before coming to me to fix. I don't have the experience to unbrick psp

• I am unable to return a new, fully working PSP in case of bricking. However, provided you can prove that the PSP was working when you sent it, I will refund any donation, £50 cash, and/or a slightly older yet working system.
• Please remove all UMD's, memory sticks, etc and ensure that your PSP is properly and safely packaged before sending. Sending is at your expense and I am not to be held responsible for incidents during delivery.  
• On request, I will also update your PSP to the latest of any available custom firmware.
• For a negotiable price, I can also perform any theming, flashing, or software customization, and will even create a custom XMB theme for you if desired.

Fee: Nothing if in the area, just shipping to and from. Small negotiable fee for outside the area. I do greatly accept donations for what you think my time is worth though!

PM me for info. I do have a life so if i dont reply immediatly dont worry, i will!  Your choice of shipping, but in the US i suggest FedEx or UPS. I accept no responsiblity for lost or stolen PSP's. So it's best if you send it registered (so i have to sign for it) and with postal/shipping insurance just in case. Make sure PSP is free of UMDs and Memory Stix, wrap it in bubble wrap and pack with packing faom to ensure saftey. A FRAGILE sticker helps also!
Though highly unlikley, Bricking can occur. So, as Fanjita says, if you can supply proof that your PSP was working when you sent it, then I will guarantee to replace it if it bricks during downgrading.

I'm open to help people from all over the world if you are willing to pay the S&H costs. If you live in Japan, then it's not expensive to send you PSP via Yuu Pack. You can buy boxes with protection in any post office.
Remember that the process implies flashing. I'm not a newbie and I follow the steps carefully all the time, but there's always chance of bricking. If that happens, I will use Pandora's Battery, so, there's no need to worry

• Fee: i dont believe in fees. it's terrible to charge for anything other than S&H. i dont think donation is the right word either. i'll be glad to accept a tip, i wont even mention anything money related again except for the fact that HOMEBREW IS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE (right?)
• my GTA disc casing is in bad shape, so i wont be shipping it around. and i dont like the idea of having other people's property (which i cant afford to replace) shipped to me and i'm not too mail-savvy, so locals only. or you could do a road-trip if you want
