The tutorial does not mention where the PSP 1.50 comes in..
Would it be possible if someone had already configured a magic memory stick to share the contents of the memory stick and copying to a n other memory stick thus doing away with the need for a homebrew or 1.50 PSP provided they have a pandora battery already.??
I have also seen a file stick_magik.rar on the internet claiming to be the official sony unbricker, has anyone an experience of this

First you dont neccesarily need a firmware 1.50 PSP You need one that has 1.50 OR a custom firmware. Second the distribution of those files you have mentiond is against copyright laws the stick contains modified SONY firmware files. The archive you are talking about could be be legit. But...do you know the person who made it? Do you trust him? Just a small modificationof these files or an error while transmitting them and you may have a nice paperweight. I very much prefere to know who modifies my PSP ^^ Put aside that its ilegal to distribute those files. This is the Part where the Homebrew enabled PSP comes into play: Creating the Magic Memory Stick and the Jigkick Battery ----------------------------------------------------------
- ...
- Disable the USB Mode safely.
- Go to the GAME Menu of your PSP, enter the Memory Stick, select "Pandora's Battery Firm. Installer" and press X. This application will create the firmware files on the root of the Memory Stick, as well as another one called msipl.bin.
- Enable the USB connection of the PSP.
- ...

Basically you do all the steps in a homebrew capable PSP (1.50 or CFW) to produce a Magic Mmory Stick and a Jigkick Battery.
Then you use them in the bricked PSP or non-homebrew capable PSP to unbrick/downgrade them.
I do not think that´s so difficult to understand :-/

Those are the contents of the magic memory stick used by the Official SONY Service. The´ve been leaked for ages. Rumour has it that they forgot to remove the stick from a PSP they repaired. They´re useless anyway, and will not work wih Pandora´s Battery. yes I knew a homebrew or psp on 1.50 was required however I was just pointing out the tutorial did not mention this
Right... so what is this then? : (...) Requirements --------------In order to obtain one you will need the following: - A PSP with a Custom Firmware such as OE, M33 or WC, or a PSP with the 1.5 original kernel. You can borrow your friend's, girlfriend's etc if yours is not homebrew capable yet.

Insert the Memory Stick in the PSP. Format the Memory Stick via the Menu of your PSP within Settings. Connect the PSP to your PC through the USB Cable and enable the USB Mode in the PSP Settings.

Clearly the PSP from the requirements (1.50 PSP or Custom Firmware). Also stated in the Troubleshooting section. No offence intended but If you used a bit of common sense you wouldn´t be asking that dumb question. O:-) We´ve all been noobz in the beguinning anyway

Right I think I have this sussed now, so if someone was to say sell their magic memory stick and pandora battery on say ebay it would work on my PSP. The reason I ask is I have no access to a 1.50,homebrew psp and I have seen the above offered on ebay.
another question will pandoras battery be the only downgrader from now on I.e. no other downgrader will be released for 3.52

Since distribution of these Files (electronic or mechanical) is against Copyright laws No one on ebay is allowed to sell this to you you may use Google or search some Forums (some admins don't seem to care o.O) But this forum and these pages contain strictly only files that are free for distribution! You can still ask someone living in your area to help you in THIS TREAD

Hi all, i followed the procedure of the pandora batt guide but i faced a problem, that is i used my friend's psp, which is using a 3.03 OE-C firmware but when i launched the firmware part,
"Go to the GAME Menu of your PSP, enter the Memory Stick, select "Pandora's Battery Firm. Installer" and press X. This application will create the firmware files on the root of the Memory Stick, as well as another one called msipl.bin."
i got the message
"The Game Cannot Be Run (8002014C)"
now, i tried using the folder "GAME" and "GAME150" but i can only access the pandora files when i label it as "GAME". i was wondering if there is any solution to the part on how to continue from there? everything was fine till i can't launch the "battery firm.installer" anyone has any suggestions? would appreciate for the help.
Tks!!!
