discussion so far...

i asked...

hi guys! thankyou for letting me join
EXCELLENT site you have here!

a year ago i bought a used psp1002 (fat) for my daughter. it has no cfw that i know of, also a couple of months ago i done a update to 4.05

about a month ago i decided to get one for myself and ended up getting a used psp2002 (slim).
turns out my psp has cfw 3.80 M33-5.
i know i can use homebrew on my psp, and have.

now, what i want to know is can i simply copy my firmware from my psp and put it onto my daughters psp too? if so, how?
a nice easy "how to for dummies" would be good if possible

ive had a bit of a look around on here, and as im not very computer minded i find the pandora and magic mem stick ideas a bit confusing.
the youtube vids are all just as confusing

i dont know if my batt is a pandora (i got 2 with my psp, 1 x 3.6v 2400mAh which looks like it might be a fake, and a geniune sony 3.6v 1200 mAh which has been opened up and sticky taped back together.

also i dont know if my mem stick is a "magic" mem stick and dont know how to tell. i got 1x4gb mem stick and a 1gb mem stick, both look to be genuine sony.

thankyou in advance for any info you may be able to provide.
jason.

ps, i truly hope nothing ive said is against forum rules.

My friend, you are in the perfect situtation!

Your first step is to convert your daughters' battery into a pandora's battery (I think the Slim can convert a fat battery). Then, using your slim, make a Desparter Del Cemeterio memory stick. Then just pop in your daughters Pandora'd battery and the memory stick with all the Desparter Del Cemeterio files and install CFW! Easy!

I think the easiest way to go about is to put your daugther's battery and memory stick into your fat PSP and run this:

http://dl.qj.net/Ultimate...pg/12/fid/24425/catid/151

Then once you've made all the files and have converted the battery, put your Slim memory stick and battery back into your Slim PSP and put the modified battery and stick into your daughters' PSP. It should work fine!

Fortunatly, the tool I listed downloads and installs everthing for you, so it's all dead easy!

If you're still stuck, read these forums regarding Pandora and if you still need help, post on the "downgrader" section.

We're all happy to help you one step at a time, but if you feel that you need extra help, feel free to email me!

Good luck sir!

Angelo

thankyou for your reply angelo, i truly appreciate your help and your time.
im affraid im going to need more indepth instructions, lol, yep im a noob in every possible way  Grin

i think maybe you misunderstood what i wrote. or maybe i misunderstood you...

the slim has cfw.
the fat has 4.05

i have downloaded the file you posted. thankyou  Smiley
how do i run it?

i have searched Desparter Del Cemeterio on here but only come up with our discussion and a nother unrelated topic, no other references.
how do i make one?

i probably have a million other questions but ill leave it to the above few so i dont confuse myself or anyone else.

thankyou again angelo,
jason.

ok, i noticed on a site that to pandora a battery you need to cut one of the metal prongs on a chip, ive opened my sticky taped battery and it has the chip prong cut, so im guessing its a pandora. am i right?

Just put your daughter's PSP memory stick and battery into your slim. (Keep you slim parts to one side.) Wink

Put the tool I linked you into the "PSP/GAME/Tool.PBP" location and run it.

Make a Pandora battery and install the Desparter Del Cemeterio files. (All done inside the application).

Then just pop the battery and stick into your daughter's PSP whilst holding down the left D pad button. Then just install CFW!

See if that works out for you!

Follow this:

-  Connect your PSP via USB.
-  Open your PSP folder.
-  Open your game folder.
-  Create a new folder called "Tool".
-  Extract the file I linked you.
-  Copy all the contents of the file that I sent you into the "Tool" folder.
(Inside the contents of the link, you should find an EBOOT.pbp)
-  Exit USB mode.
-  Using your PSP menu, run the Tool from the game area. (Where you launch homebrew!) Wink

-  Make a pandora's battery.
-  Install Desparter Del Cemeterio files!

Don't appologise! We're all beginners at something! My dads going to show me how to drive soon, a task you'll probably find easy!

You know where to come for help!

No problem... it's a shame after all this you're using it for piracy. You sneekaly didn't mention that before.  Undecided

*Sighs*, it's your choice on how to use CFW, but remember the game developers and buy the games please.

Your welcome for my help, but I'm dissapointed with your ethos. Anyway I'm not to judge!

Have a good day!  Smiley
