Ho my God what a rip off =(

So the Datel "Tool" battery is realy only the Battery?
No instructions or hints where to get the rest?
(...)

Exactly what I thought....

Why it did not surprise me?

@nomad
Unfortunately you will need a homebrew capable PSP to make the memory stick too... You´ll have to find someone to make you the memory stick. That´s why the battery on it´s own is worth "nought".

I wanted to clear some things up...

1. The TOOL does come with Instruction
2. It tells you that you NEED THE CORRECT DATA on a MS for the service mode to work.
They tell you that you need to search for for the files online.. Because we all know why.. COPYRIGHTS...

And YES it does work... Again you need a correctly Formatted MS with the right files... There are two ways to do this. One you need a CW or 1.5 PSP.. The 2nd one you have to search for the files already done but again you have to find them on your own (copyrights)... I bout the TOOL because I did not know any one with a 1.5 or CW PSP.. So the TOOL battery was the next best thing... I did find the right files (even tho it took me all late night) and have downgraded my My 3.71 PSP to 1.5... So yes it does work but again you need the right files...

Thank you for the copy of the Manual
and the report!

I just still wish the customer would be informed on what he gets when ordering it
not when he recives it.

why not take out the middle man no need for the "TOOL" or another homebrew psp
http://forums.benheck.com...=0&postorder=asc&start=45
The link shows you how to modify the battery "phisically" to obtain the same results.
Beware that the battery will be permanently "pandorised" unless you put a switch in or are good enough to resolder the ground pin.

Hi guys, I recently bricked my PSP, and am wondering a few things. First, let me mention that I know no one with a PSP, let alone one with Custom Firmware. I've read that with the Datel Tool, you are able to unbrick your PSP (provided you have the right files on your memory stick). Is it possible to brick this Tool, and is it reusable if I happen to brick my PSP again? Basically, I'm wondering whether I should buy the Datel Tool and try to fix this myself, or if I should send it to someone (from this list: http://www.darkmessiah.by...st13.com/freeservice.html) and get them to fix the problem. Any help is much appreciated.

Britishwookie:
Be aware that that method is not for the lighthearted and clumsy.
Fanjite himself mentioned to have broken some batterys with that method.
But if you are familar with modding, have the right equipment and a steady enough hand
Try it at your own risk.

Lue:
It could help you, but since the files you need are illegal to distribute we cant help you with that.
And Yes Smiley Pandora is re-usable!
Every time your PSP (soft) bricks you are able to repair it with it!
Of course it cant repair hardware damages like defect screens, broken UMD's or broken poweradapters Wink

Damn... I just got this thing with its (must be) fake reviews saying things like 'omg this thing really works'. Anyways, could somebody please pm me with detains to what I need with this for me to DG my 3.71 official FW psp? If not could you at least give me the name of the files to try to find...

I don't want to have spent £17 for nothing; I don't come by money that easy.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Lex

@ Lex224

The jigkick battery will not work on its own. You need a magic memory stick as well.

Read Pandora's Battery Guide. Look out for the Pandora Installer for 3.xx kernels by HellCat in the Troubleshooting section.

The mentioned homebrew software will have to be run in a already downgraded PSP (a friend' s for instance) and It will convert the memory stick into a magic memory stick required for Pandora's Set.

Once you have the magic memory stick sorted the DATEL TOOL battery will work.

Yes I knew that but thanks for the clear explanation anywho. What I wanted information on was where to get the files which have already been created so that I can put that onto my MS and then downgrade my PSP without having either 2 psp's or more than one battery/MS.

Yes, these files are illegal to distribute but c'mon. Can I at least get a hint to where I can find them etc.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Lex

Take a look at the "People who can help you unbrick/downgrade a PSP using Pandora" Tread in this forum, maybe you might find someone there...

I wonder what is wrong about reading existing stickies???

On the other hand... if you and if you thought this thread throu, why didn't you include area information? o.O

after searching for info literally all nite and reading thru countless posts i must admit i need help...
so this is what i got so far...

i was going to buy a datel "tool" but i see there is no point.
i own a psp with CFW i had a buddy of mine do it a while back when i was visiting family in LA. but i want my own pandora battery and magic stick. I've downloaded a zip file containing CFW 3.xx m33 i have a pro duo 512mb stick and purchasing an extra battery tomorrow painting it red and just to **** datel off i'm writing TOOL X with a white paint pen. Since it was collecting dust i let a friend borrow it so i don't know what CFW i have on the psp. My question is do I still need another psp? I'm relatively new to anything that's going on, so any help will be appreciated. Also the buddy I loaned it to has a slim can i make his a Homebrewed psp with what I got? I'm sure I read somewhere I can but lack of sleep is getting to me. Well thanks guys.

p.s. i hope i'm not breaking any forum rules with my avatar and banner. I'll remove them if prompted to do so.
