Am I Ready To Downgrade?

I own a PSP Slim that is on 3.72. I made the magic memory stick using the Total Newbi Installer with #4 on the command prompt, and I made the Pandora battery by taking it apart and desoldering the right thing. Am I ready to downgrade, because I am afraid of 2 things happening. 1 is the battery frying, and 2 is bricking. I just need someone to comfirm if I am ready.

You are the one who knows his way around electronics ^^
if you are certain you did not make any mistakes while soldering you should test the voltage output of the battery with a voltmeter.
Just to be shure.
then insert it into your PSP.
it should turn on immedeately if you have no memorystick inserted the screen backlight should turn on (but the lcd stays black)
and turn itself off after e few seconds again.
with a magic stick inserted it should begin flashing the memorystick LED and boot the boot menu after a few seconds.
best luck!
