I currently have an unmodded Fat PSP running 2.01 Firmware which I have tried to downgrade to 1.50 using Wakura's easy to follow guide. However whenever I have tried to run the eloader my PSP just resets itself and doesn't launch eloader.
Am I only able to launch eloader using the GTA exploit or would I be better to upgrade to another firmware before downgrading?
I have tried to search several sites for a solution and have been unsuccesful, any help given would be greatly appreciated to this Noob!!
Kind Regards

Just read the tutorial again and do it word for word, take your time do not hurry, and read the troubleshoot section if the eloader does not run.
do not upgrade past 2.01

Many thanks Kendo, I've checked and re-checked and apart from starting a new topic and not posting my question in Wakuros guide I've definately not done anything wrong.
I've formatted the stick, and put in a custom wallpaper too. Like I say whenever I try to launch e-loader the PSP just resets itself.

Have you tried disabling the antivirus before copying the files into the memory stick? Many AV reports one of the files required for the downgrade as a virus (do not worry, it is not) preventing you from copying the file to the memory stick.

Many Thanks Wakura will try tonight on my return from work.
Posted on: August 04, 2008, 04:03:19 PM Tried with the Anti-Virus disabled and still no joy. This has me flummoxed!
Many thanks for your help so far guys Posted on: August 04, 2008, 08:03:15 PM Right I've got the eloader running occasionally however I haven't got the downloader option within the menu.
Only options available are the UPDATE option and Installatron option.
I extracted the downgrader to the root of my PSP (G:) on my PC, should I be moving it to the Game Folder?

The 201DG.zip should put it in the right folder provided to have the "use folder names" ticked on winzip, or drag and drop if your using winrar.

I extracted it directly to the root folder using WinRar, should I have extracted it to its own folder within the Game folder?
Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for your help guys

You should end up with the EBOOT.PBP file copied to /psp/game/201downgrader/EBOOT.PBP.

Hi Sorry again, Looks like there is a problem with downgrader download, I've looked at whats been extracted and their is not EBOOT for the downgrader and when I've tried to extract with Winzip it says its not a correct file.
Is there any other locations to download the downgrader from?
Thanks

Hi Have tried downloading from your link too still with no joy.
When i unpack the file I just end up with one 201DG file, which I've normally unpacked to the root of the PSP. I've dried copy it to the Game folder which then gives me the option within eloader however when I click on it, the PSP reports that there is no Eboot file.

I think you need to learn how to unpack the stuff with whichever unpacker you´re using (WinZip, Winrar, 7Zip...) Surely if you read the unpacker instructions or manual it would not hurt.

I have the feeling swisst_12000 has no "zip/rar" programmes on his PC and this is where the confusion for him lies, i.e. he is dumping a 201DG.zip into the root of MS unextracted
